ENEMY BOOTS ON AUSTRALIAN SOIL…
Will We See A Sudden Movement to Gun Ownership?
An interesting question was posed the other day when talking about conflicts happening in the world. It was noticed that countries with strict gun laws suddenly have a burning desire that their populations be armed and turned into civilian armies.Â
So the question:Â Â Â I wonder at what point would there be a change in attitude within Australia with regards to gun ownership as well as self-defense options?
Would it be when boots are on the shores and things have escalated beyond the ability for people, who have no concept of how to use a weapon are handed one and expected to know how to use it? Or will we see a subtle shift before that? Will the government decide that some gun laws should be relaxed? For instance the type of weapons that are allowed.
I cant see it myself.  This country and Airbus Albo are very unlikely to have a change of opinion until they are learning Chinese / Russian / [Insert Language].
Also, I have never heard of nor seen any government handing back rights that they have already successfully removed from the people.
Also, I have no faith in governments to do anything that would help, protect or benefit the people they are supposed to represent.
My expectation for government, especially the weak government we currently have would be that they will be collaborators and betray the people they are representing.
Recently watching the pro-hamas supporters constantly chanting death to jews slogans, being destructive and generally a nuisance in the streets I wondered when it would start to shift towards violence towards people. I didn’t have to wait long with a man being attacked in Sydney at a childrens play park.
He was just taking down a poster for a pro-hamas rally that had already been and gone and the poster had been partly ripped away. Seems like something that would incite multiple men (and women) to verbally and physically attack him.
What is more of an issue here is the victim actually managed to call the police before he got stomped on. “Thank god” you say, “they surely turned up just in time to save him”. Well, no would be answer to that. They didn’t get there until he had been thoroughly assaulted and everyone involved had left the area. Which just adds to my belief that police aren’t there to save you. They are there to take statements from ghosts and mop up the mess afterwards.
Is this the start of an escalation on the level we are seeing in other countries? The UK has apparently had a 300% increase in violence towards Jews, that doesn’t even take into account all the additional increased violence, knife crimes etc that are an different discussion for another day.
So at what point do we get the right to defend ourselves when government and police clearly are showing that they can’t or won’t?
