YET ANOTHER GUN HATING ARTICLE
The Shooting Community Needs to Become More Vocal Lest They Lose Their Guns Completely
This article (LINK) is an article in stupidity and alarmism.
Yet another article written by someone who has no idea what they are talking about or if they do they are purposely misleading the public with regards to statistics and information involved.
Australians are rightly proud of our gun laws, but the promises made after the 1996 Port Arthur gun massacre have never been fully met.
Pretty sure you aren’t speaking for all Australians. There are a lot of people I know who think the laws are 1984 level authoritarian and a lot of them make absolutely no sense at all. Appearance laws for instance.
Banning a gun because it looks like a gun is next level stupid. The look of a gun doesn’t change what it is. If it was painted like a rainbow it would still be a gun.
As the latest tragedy unfolded, the country’s deadliest in an alarming uptick of gun violence, US Vice President Kamala Harris lauded Australia as an exemplar on gun laws, saying, “Let us be clear, it does not have to be this way”.
Kamala Harris. Anything this idiot says should immediately be ignored. Never has someone failed upwards so spectacularly.
Standing beside Harris, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s response took us back to our darkest day for gun deaths.
“Every time there is one of these [mass shooting] events, I am grateful Australia did act in a bipartisan way after the Port Arthur massacre,” he said.
According to statistics this is one of the more well timed pushes for politicians with regards to gun laws.
The number of gun deaths were already well on the decline before this was implemented and that same drop just continued after the laws were passed. So there really isn’t any actual data to prove that the laws have reduced the number of gun deaths.
Albanese reiterated a promise to finally deliver on a pivotal aspect of the 1996 national firearms agreement between the federal, state and territory governments – a national firearms register.
A national firearms register. Placing the security and privacy of gun owners in the hands of government and police who have proven over the last number of years that they are fully incapable of protecting the data they are the caretakers of. Multiple leaks, dumps and hacks occurring not just with gun owners data but also other records regarding health and personal information of Australians.
Sep 2023, information was released that the AFP (yes, the Australian Federal Police) had the personal details of officers leaked on dark web – according to the police association. This was part of a wide-ranging data breach that potentially threated other high-profile agencies.
Jan 2023, more than 100,000 login details for Australian government agency portals was discovered on the dark web.
Dec 2022, ABC revealed 178 officers have faced complaints about misuse of VicPol’s LEAP database. LEAP database stores information about people, including addresses, contact details and alleged criminal involvement.
Jul 2023, Veterans Affairs sharing to a university the medical records belonging to 300,000 veterans, widows and others connected to DoVA without the knowledge or consent of the people involved.
Nov 2022, Victorian breach of medical records and School Entrant Health Questionnaire (SEHQ) information.
Feb 2022, NSW Premier admitted a data leak of more than half a million addresses occurred.
Mar 2022, WAPOL released maps of gun owners addresses. Easily reverse engineered to get full addresses. Papalia the PoS doubles down on it and doesn’t apologise.
Jan 2021, QLDPOL sent an email to 350 people regarding gun safety, using the To field instead of BCC field for their email addresses. Thereby, giving 350 people potential name/business information of gun owners. Allowing anyone with criminal intent to work out where gun owners in QLD are.

Data Breaches In Australia
So sorry but not sorry that level of “security” doesn’t inspire confidence and definitely isn’t acceptable. Like at all.
It’s important to note that guns are often an element in family violence. Their mere presence is used as a method of coercive control – a gun laid on a bed, a gun safe left open after an argument.
According to the Recorded Crime Data from Australian Bureau of Statistics most domestic violence is actually done by “at hand” items such as bottles, syringes, bats/clubs and other weapons. Followed by no weapons used, then it is knives and then the final number belongs to firearms. There are only 4 categories for the reason of harm and 3 of them are weapon related. So whilst technically true that firearms are the third cause of harm they are also the last item in the category and in 2022 a total of zero (0) people had a DV related to firearms. So, not quite accurate reporting.
Guns have been the leading cause of child deaths in the US since 2020. Such is the political power of the hugely funded National Rifle Association, no one seems to know how to stop the slaughter in that country.
Again, a misleading statistic as they are including “children” aged up to 19 years old. 19 year olds are not children. Most of the statistic here is related to gang crime, including drive by shootings, gang violence and conflicts and revenge attacks.
These are committed by criminals, using illegal guns. So technically this statistic is to do with gun deaths. However, it is used in a misleading fashion.
The level of “journalism” nowadays is something that baffles the mind. The logical person debunks this nonsense spouted by these government shills and mouthpieces with just a few hours researching public records.
Don’t believe the spin, don’t believe the hysteria.
There are far more people killed in car accidents than by guns.
Banning guns doesn’t stop violent people from committing violent acts. It is a tool. Nothing more nothing less. If violent people don’t have access to guns, they will use another tool. Hammers, screwdrivers, bricks, knives, fists or feet.
I have never seen a gun get up off the counter and go shoot someone on its own. There is always some mentally ill idiot holding it. A gun is a tool. Nothing more. It is neither good nor bad it is whatever the possessor of it is.
In the right hands guns do great good in protecting innocent people.
In the wrong hands guns do great evil in harming innocent people.
Legal, law abiding citizens having more laws and restrictions dumped on them does nothing to stop criminal activity or the ability of criminals to get guns. You can remove all legal gun owners guns from the country and criminals will still have guns.
Instead of punishing people who obey laws and are responsible and decent why don’t you try actually dealing with the criminal aspects of guns.
